The otolaryngology service at Caritas Carney provides comprehensive care for diseases of the Ear, Nose and Throat. The department is comprised of five members: Dr. Konowitz, Dr. Friedenson, Dr. Lazor, Dr. Ambrus and Dr. Reardon. All five physicians are also on the staff of the Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary.  The service was a pioneer in the implementation of image guided sinus surgery for accurate localization and instrument navigation during endoscopic sinus surgery. Our expertise also extends to complete head and neck and cancer reconstructive surgery for benign and malignant tumors of the head and neck; facial plastic surgery including cosmetic, trauma and reconstructive care; general ENT conditions for adults and pediatric cases; middle ear surgery for reconstruction of the tympanic membrane, hearing and the eradication of chronic ear infections; diagnosis and management of salivary gland tumors.
