Inpatient Services

Includes 36 adult beds and 14 adolescent beds on three locked units specializing in short-term crisis intervention. Operating under a multidisciplinary team approach, the focus is on diagnostic assessment, reduction of acute symptoms and development of an aftercare plan.

Dual Diagnosis Program

A discrete inpatient unit for comprehensive treatment of patients with both alcohol/drug and mental health disorders. Treatment is systematic, focusing on the interaction and separateness of the illness.

Adolescent Program

A discrete inpatient unit providing comprehensive treatment of patients 13-18 years of age. Strength-based focus with intensive family involvement and educational programming.

Psychiatric Rehabilitation Services

Provides individual and group treatment to psychiatric inpatient units. A schedule to meet individual treatment needs is collaboratively planned. It looks at the impact of illness on work, play and self-care and helps a person return to his highest level of functioning in the community.

Outpatient Mental Health Services

A comprehensive program that includes evaluation and treatment of mental health and substance abuses difficulties, individual, family and group psychotherapy, patient support services, psychopharmacological evaluation, psychological testing and 24-hour emergency services for all ages.

Clozapine Chronic Psychosis Clinic

This outpatient specialty clinic addresses the needs of this specialty group of seriously and persistently mentally ill patients. The clinic provides psychopharmacological treatment, rehabilitation group therapy, family supportive therapy, case management, social work intervention, nurse visit, laboratory tests and medication delivered all in the same day. Every effort is made to coordinate services so that the patient has the least disruption to his/her life.

Drug and Alcohol Outpatient Services

A program designed to treat only those patients who have begun their sobriety. The philosophy is to address the spiritual, mental and physical needs of addiction and to identify the process of the disease so that the client can embrace alternatives to drug and alcohol.

Partial Hospitalization Program

A system-focused crisis intervention program provided in a less restrictive environment for patients 13 years and older, who do not need 24-hour care but remain in need of intensive clinical services.

ECT

Electro-convulsive therapy is available on both an inpatient and outpatient basis. It is most beneficial to those patients who are either refractory to other forms of treatment, or who have a clear history of having a beneficial response to ECT.
